OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Targeted in Second Attack Within Days

Two suspects were arrested Sunday morning following a shooting at Sam Altman's Russian Hill residence in San Francisco, marking the second attack on the OpenAI CEO's home in three days.

San Francisco Police responded to the property at approximately 2:56 AM PT on April 12th following a report of possible shots fired. Officers located a vehicle matching surveillance footage and arrested two suspects, aged 25 and 23. The suspects were charged with negligent discharge of a firearm.

According to the police report, surveillance footage appeared to show a vehicle passenger firing a weapon at Altman's home. Officers later searched the residence and seized three firearms following the apprehension of the suspects.

The incident follows an earlier attack on Friday, in which a 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at the same property. San Francisco Police indicated that both investigations remain ongoing.

San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew issued a statement regarding the arrests: "The SFPD takes crimes involving guns extremely seriously, and anyone committing acts like these will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I want to thank our officers whose swift actions identified these suspects, took them into custody, and got dangerous weapons off our streets."

The license plate of the fleeing vehicle involved in Sunday's incident was captured by a camera, allowing officers to identify and locate the suspects.
